
Angel Wings & Afros for Breast Health
We would like to thank all of the wonderful supporters who helped our Team Blessed Bodies girls in their efforts to raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment. Last weekend our girls spent the day at Bust A Move Vancouver, in a marathon of fitness classes like Zhumba, Tabata, and Tommy Europe’s very own boot camp. This initiative was beyond successful. Not only did Coach Fatima, Bust A Move team leader Jennifer, and clients/support team members Ami, Brandi, Marilyse, Heather and Mindy help bring awareness to breast health, they also met their goal to raise $7,000 and had a blast in the process too!
Way to go Team!

Change your Smoothie into a Milkshake without Dairy!
Bananas are great to put into shakes/smoothies, even frozen! Because frozen bananas are too hard to put in a Magic Bullet, put the banana in the microwave on defrost for 30 seconds just to get it soft enough to break part.
To make this successful you will need to put in a bit less liquid than usual. So instead of 1 cup water maybe 2/3 cup or 3/4.
Also, if you pre plan this you can take your banana out of the freezer 1/2hr to 45 minutes earlier instead of using the microwave.
Here is a sample recipe from Inside Fitness Magazine.
Peanut Brittle Shake
1 frozen banana (softened as above)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tbsp sugar-free caramel syrup (bought from Starbucks)
2/3 cup - 3/4 cup water

Decadent Pecan Pie or Chocolate Pecan Pie Pancakes
INGREDIENTS:
Chocolate Pecan Pie Pancakes:
Same as above except for the following changes:
Omit: The spices (cinnamon, ginger, allspice) unless you prefer the taste with chocolate.
Swap Majool Dates for:
1 1/2 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa
87.5g Greek Yogurt
1 Tbsp Unsweetened Chocolate Chips (optional cheat topping)
METHOD:
1. Blend all ingredients except pecans, in magic bullet or food processor.
2. Spray pan with cooking spray and then spread batter evenly over pan and add in 1/2 portion of chopped pecans.
3. Cook until golden and slightly crispy on both sides.
4. Top with sugar-free syrup and 1/2 chopped or whole pecans (and/or unsweetened chocolate chips).

Team Blessed Bodies sure made an impression at the Inside Fitness Cover Model Search on Saturday in Vancouver, B.C. — we wish you could have been there! FitnessPrint clients Tanya, CJ, Diana and Darci entered Bikini and Fitness Model classes, including evening gown rounds. We must say that these ladies lit the stage on FIRE. They were stunning. Coach Fatima Leite Kusch and her assistant Theresa Jenn Lopetrone were in attendance along with an entourage of smiling faces from Team Blessed Bodies cheering on their team mates. (One of the perks of competing with Team Blessed Bodies is having your very own collection of warm-hearted groupies!)
Congratulations to Darci (shown above in the red dress and red bikini,) for winning 3rd place in the bikini class!
